Installation Instructions and Tips
Installation Steps
Tips
Note: The individual wires on the transformer and bus wires must remain separated. If the wires are shorted together, the lights will not work, and this can also be a fire hazard Note: (if you do not understand this tip, you should not attempt to install this system yourself). This system should be installed by an electrician if you do not understand basic wiring.
To insert the festoon bulbs, you must insert one end first. Insert the bulb into the lamp holder so that the one tip of the festoon bulb fits into the small hole on one side of the lamp holder metal contact. Press the other side of the festoon bulb downward until it snaps into the lamp holder.
To remove a festoon bulb, use a small screw driver to remove the festoon bulbs by prying one end of the metal end cap upward.
The lamp holders can be removed and repositioned as desired. Use a small screw driver to depress the tabs on the bottom of the lamp holder to release the lamp holder from the bus wire.
To adjust the MR16 bulbs, push on the pivot fixture, not on the bulbs. Pushing on the bulbs will dislodge then from the fixtures.
You can leave some space between adjacent sections of track. Us the track covers to cover the gaps between track sections.
Be sure to use the transformer reference table so you do not overload the transformer.
Be sure the power is turned off before installing the light bulbs. If leds are installed with the power on, they will not light until the power is switched off and then back on again.
You must have at least 3-4 led festoon bulbs , or 2-3 MR16 bulbs connected to the transformer. The transformer will not light the bulbs if there are not enough leds connected.
The transformer can be connected to power using a plug, or wired directly.
Soldered connections are best, but quick splices can also be used to connect the wires.

The lights should be tested before the track section is mounted. This will allow you to modify things without having to remove the track sections.
